Request for Qualifications


Due: By 5:00 p.m. on March 14, 2014. 


Suffolk County ("County") is in the process of reviewing its general litigation, general appellate counsel and land use/zoning counsel needs and is requesting qualifications from firms that have demonstrated expertise in all, any one or a combination of some of the following areas of practice for at least ten (10) years in New York State: non-tort general litigation (for areas of law including, but not limited to, employment law and constitutional law), general appellate work, and land use/zoning.

The period to receive applications for the Transit Oriented Housing Incentive Program closed on Friday, October 11 2013. 

The New York-Connecticut Sustainable Communities Consortium and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) are issuing an application for grants or loans to both for-profit and not-for-profit affordable housing developers for pre-development expenses to support affordable housing development in proximity of public transportation. The Fund will make grants or loans, typically in the range of $25-75,000, to advance projects that have local support, fill a regional housing need and support the six livability principles of the federal Partnership for Sustainable Communities.

Questions and Responses for the TOD application

The New York-Connecticut Sustainable Communities Consortium is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFPs) that seeks a consultant or teams of consultants to conduct a feasibility study of sustainable infill development and opportunities to promote transit-orientated development around up to three (3) Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) stations in the Preliminary Regional Nassau Hub Study Area.

Community Outreach Consultants

The New York-Connecticut Sustainable Communities Consortium, a collaboration of cities, counties and regional planning organizations, is seeking to retain the services of community outreach consultants in Connecticut, Westchester and Long Island.

The New York-Connecticut Sustainable Communities Consortium seeks to reposition the bi-state metropolitan region to fully harness its innovation capabilities in a competitive global environment, build on its strong foundation of energy efficiency, and become as equitable as it is efficient. The primary focus for achieving these goals is to link strategies that develop mixed-income housing and employment at key nodes in the nation's most extensive and robust transit network.

The New York-Connecticut Sustainable Communities Consortium is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFPs) that seeks a professional engineering consultant or teams of consultants to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study of a new commuter rail station on Bridgeport's East Side. The goals are to determine whether a new rail station can be constructed in a way that is physically possible, compatible with existing Metro-North Railroad and Amtrak service to Bridgeport's downtown station, and catalyzes the redevelopment of the adjacent brownfield properties.

The New York-Connecticut Sustainable Communities Consortium is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFPs) to invite eligible applicants to submit proposals to develop a plan for the creation of a sustainable and vibrant transit oriented development zone around the New Rochelle train station. The goal is to promote sustainable mixed-use development, including the integration of mixed-income and energy efficient developments with existing uses. Expertise in transit oriented development (TOD), economic development and sustainable practices are desired to produce a revitalization plan for the area.
