The Nassau County Infill Redevelopment Feasibility Study is funded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) - Sustainable Communities Planning Grant and administered by Nassau County in partnership with the NY-CT Sustainable Communities Consortium. The Village of Lynbrook, the Village of Valley Stream and the Hamlet of Baldwin were chosen to receive the pilot study because they can be models for how to revolutionize downtown communities through the development of underutilized and existing spaces near local Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) stations.
