Community Information Session in the Bronx, Sept 10th.

As part of the Bronx Sustainable Communities Metro North Project, the New York City Department of City Planning will be holding a Community Information Session together with MTA Metro North Railroad around the proposed Morris Park station area. As part of this joint effort, in cooperation with the Bronx Borough Presidents Office, Metro-North Railroad will provide an update on its Penn Station Access environmental review, including a proposed station that would serve the Morris Park area and provide connections to Penn Station, Westchester & Connecticut.

The Bronx Sustainable Communities Team will discuss best practices for planning around a new rail station and identify long term approaches to maximizing the community benefit of this potential asset. We look forward to discussing ideas around this exciting opportunity with the community!
