Join us on June 7 in New York for the fourth annual Northeast Sustainable Communities Workshop. The event is a lively and substantive exchange of ideas regarding sustainable development and brownfield remediation.
RPA Vice President David Kooris will co-moderate a panel on sustainable communities and transit-oriented development across the Northeast. The panel will include Brian Bidolli from the New York - Connecticut Sustainable Communities Consortium; two of the consultant teams engaged by the consortium for planning work, Parsons Brinckerhoff and VHB; and representatives working on comparable initiatives in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Additional panel topics this year include: the Insider's Guide to Brownfield Redevelopment in Bad Times; the Sustainable Communities Initiative in the Region: TOD comes to Life; Regulatory Innovations Across the Region: Positive Impacts on Site Cleanup and Redevelopment; and more. The event has sold out in the last three years. Lower registration costs end on May 21.
The event will take place at John Jay College in New York City. For more information, visit www.NSCW.net. This year, a Design With Nature prize will be awarded for the best sustainable development project. Submit your entry when registering.
